Once a month through the winter, come join us for an exploration of soups, sandwiches, sample boards, and pastries highlighting our elderberries!
Come for supper or afternoon tea.

Why an Elderberry Café?
Elderberries have become part of the landscape here, ever since the first cuttings were planted into a bean field in 2022. This was the first step in transitioning some of our farm into agroforestry (farming with perennial trees and shrubs). There are now about 3,000 elderberry plants in the field, at varying levels of maturity!
In 2024, the field offered up its first flowers and berries and, in the absence of a solid wholesale market, we developed and tested a new line of products on the farm. Two vinegars, a shrub, an oxymel and a fire cider, as well as two condiments.
It’s been fun to introduce them to guests on the farm this past year and they have been well received.
Now, The Elderberry Café has emerged to highlight this wonderfully nutritious and somewhat unfamiliar fruit. We hope you love meeting this berry at the table!
