Adding Color in the Winter
Winter printing with dried leaves usually brings a palate rich in tannins with a subtle range of color. In this class, we’ll learn how to add beautiful, bold colors using natural dyes to create a stunning range of outcomes.

Botanical Printing on Paper
In a process similar to printing on fabric, botanical prints can be transferred directly from leaves, stems and flowers onto paper. Learn a variety of methods of preparing and heating the paper that produce different character in your prints.

Botanical Printing on Wool
Come explore the unique ways wool responds to natural pigments. In this class, we will be working with wool felt that can be used to make place mats, runners or coasters for your table.

Printing in the Dirty Pot
Similar to botanical printing classes, printing in a dirty pot transfers plant pigments onto fiber. This method is wilder, messier and often produces murkier prints with depth and character. This is a great option to have in your printing “tool box” to create diversity among your prints. In addition to learning the printing process, we’ll cover how to build and maintain your dirty pot.

Heat Press Printing
In this class we will skip the technical details and jump straight into printing. We’ll learn a simple mordanting process and an amazingly quick heat transfer to accomplish beautiful botanical prints. For your class, you may choose between printing small cotton bags or a set of paper cards.
